On the passed exhibition ceBIT 2007 AMD company presented some additional components about the future platform with accelerated computer (calculations): torrenza. Let us recall, that Torrenza is AMD initiative , which implies to the open platform, considerably accelerated due to expansion card from other producers, for example, CSX600 clearSpeed. Management (documents, not director) AMD speak, that the future processors for this platform will also possess the built-in accelerators of calculations, similar to the coprocessors Of clearSpeed, which in the form of expansion card are installed in the additional slot  on the motherboard . Platform implies the use of immediately two sockets for processors and it will use the power of multi-core processors, additional accelerators of calculations or Fusion- processors simultaneously. Fusion, whose release is planed for 2008,  the processor for this platform, which is combination of CPU and GPU, will be the solution with two crystals in one general cover ( processor ). AMD already speaks, that in Fusion will be used Stream- processor, which will be also used for graphic . Thus, AMD prepares in the form of platforms torrenza something strongly optimized for massive calculations. In this, let us note : Plug- in coprocessors for processor socket (ClearSpeed); Expansion card for PCI-Express (again ClearSpeed and others); Processor fusion (GPU+CPU), Stream- processor.
