NVIDIA proposed immediately ten mobile graphical solutions with directX 10 support  , three of which relate to professional segment. We start from consumer solutions, based on mobile versions chips g84 and G86. The notation of products was replaced, from names disappeared the suffix ( Go ). Instead Nvidia used the letter ( M ) after the digital designation of mobile video card model. The complete list of those new card can be found on NVIDIA site , we will here study the fundamental technical characteristics: GeForce 8600M GT - > 32 stream processors, frequency 475/950/1400 MHz, 128- bit system bus, up to 512 mb GDDR- 3 memory  ; GeForce 8600M GS - > 16 stream processors, frequency 600/1200/1400 MHz, 128- bit system bus, up to 512 mb GDDR- 3 memory ; GeForce 8400M GT - > 16 stream processors, frequency 450/900/1200 MHz, 128- bit system bus, up to 512 mb GDDR- 3 memory ; GeForce 8400M GS - > 16 stream processors, frequency 400/800/1200 MHz, 64- bit system bus, up to 256 mb GDDR- 3 memory ; GeForce 8400M G - >   16 stream processors, frequency 400/800/1200 MHz, 64- bit system bus, up to 256 mb GDDR- 3 memory . Video card series geForce 8600M support SLI technology . Video chip allow to accelerate the decoding h.264, VC-1, MPEG2 and WMV9. As option Nvidia provided support of HDCP and HDMI. Preserving the previous energy consumption level  , the video chip series geForce 8M ensure twice higher speed in comparison with graphical solutions from the previous generation. The high end mobile video card family quadro FX was supplemented yesterday by three products with directX 10 support  : Quadro FX 1600M - > maximum energy consumption 50 W, memory frequency 1600 MHz DDR, 128- bit system bus, up to 512 mb GDDR- 3 memory ; Quadro FX 570M - > maximum energy consumption 35 W, memory frequency 1400 MHz DDR, 128- bit system bus, up to 256 mb GDDR- 3 memory ; Quadro FX 360M - > maximum energy consumption 17 W, memory frequency 1200 MHz DDR, 64- bit system bus, up to 256 mb GDDR- 3 memory . Each of three video card series quadro FX M support directX 10, Shader model 4.0, OpenGL 2.1, the technology energy-economy powerMizer 7.0. Those cards support the interfaces LVDS, DVI, D -Sub, HDTV, HDMI and function HDCP. In this year NVIDIA will present the high performance mobile graphical solution with directX 10 support on base of mobile version chip g80. Obviously, for the release of this product the company have to reduce the chip energy consumption level to some acceptable range. This can be achieved, for example, by passage to more thin technical process. The desktop version g80 is released on 90 nm technical process. Let us recall that AMD also planned to announce on 14 May several mobile graphical solutions with directX 10 support  . Now notebook owners  can use applications with the support of this API.
