Sony to cut staff in Japan and close factories

In April this year, Sony has announced the restructuring of business, which will result in the dismissal of about 10,000 people until April 2013, approximately 6% of the company.  Of these, 6000 to 7000 will lose their jobs in foreign countries  , while in Japan, Sony company will take off 3 to 4 thousand people.  The company has already started taking measures to optimize the business, but now has to make adjustments .   First, Sony has increased and will continue to increase the placement of orders for the final assembly of electronics in foreign markets, including work with OEM-ODM-and producers.  In Japan, the factory to produce mobile phones and lenses  will be closed (Sony EMCS Corp company in Minokamo).  Production from the factory in Minokamo will be transferred to factory in Kohda and Kisarazu.  This closure and other cuts in the offices of the Japanese Sony lead to the dismissal of 2,000 people. Another 1,800 people will be laid off because of the closure of a chemical company  factory , which stopped work at the end of September.  These people will be laid off this month.  In addition, 20% of the local staff of the company will be removed.  20% will lose their jobs in the course of business optimization in The Home Entertainment and Sound Business Group, including TV production unit.  All together will not solve overnight Sony financial problems   , but it will create room for maneuver resources .
