Lenovo has managed to raise a given direction to the maximum height - according to analysts Gartner, in the third quarter 2012, in the PC market the company ranked first in the world. However, the company is not satisfied with the development of the brand Lenovo and had to take a number of measures for more active promotion of proprietary systems.
The CEO - Jan Yuantsin - said that from April business to produce PCs will be divided between two large groups. One of them - Lenovo Business Group (LBG) - take up promotion systems in emerging markets, and the second - Think Business Group (TBG) - development.
The second group will use the trademark IBM. Accordingly, this PC brand is still remembered in the developed markets and give it priority when buying. It is interesting to recall that in 2007, Lenovo company prematurely stopped using the brand IBM. Agreement to use the name was put up in 2010. But already in 2008 Olympics moved exclusively with brand Lenovo.
Peter Hortensius will Lead the division Think Business Group , he headed the unit dealing with tablets and smartphones. Also TBG division will produces desktops and servers. Computers under the brand name Think will regain even the label Made in USA.
As for the group Lenovo Business Group, it would, in addition release PC for developing countries, will promote smart phones, tablets and smart TVs.
