AMD is very confident in the power of Radeon HD 7xxx, and therefore are not going to change the designation of game cards in the retail market later this year. Do not be confused by the appearance of same graphics cards under the name Radeon HD 8xxx in the OEM-market: this renaming initiated manufacturers of finished computers.
As it turns out, the video card like Radeon HD 7790 and the new revision Radeon HD 7990 (Malta) will not be the only AMD new card this season. Associates claim that AMD is going to use the Radeon HD 7750 (Cape Verde) to create a derivative model of lower level. Perhaps this product will be produced under the name of Radeon HD 7650 or Radeon HD 7730. In comparison with the Radeon HD 7750, the new product should get more bass. Perhaps the number of active stream processors will be also reduced.
