Interesting product was presented by albatron company . This is the budget GPU NVIDIA geForce 8500GT . However, albatron marketer decided to give this new product the name blue ray decoder card, indicating that the decoding of HD- video (let us note that the official name of this technology is Blu-ray) is its basic application.  Low-end adapter will help budget systems, whose processors are not capable to independently process high resolution video , due to the technology NVIDIA pureVideo HD. In fact, to completely unload the CPU from decoding HD- video (H.264, VC-1 and MPEG-2) the geForce 8500GT is not capable; therefore to call this device as decoder was not entirely correct :-( . albatron blue ray decoder card Technical characteristics:
