The video card GeForce 8800 Ultra get in upper rating of Futuremark immediately after its appearance; however, from that moment the record limit still in the 25 000 points range in 3DMark'06. For further advance new processor was necessary . Intel company  recently presented the four core processor core 2 Extreme QX6850 (3.0 GHz) with 1333 MHz system bus, which don't have a serious increase in the default frequency in comparison with predecessors, but due to the passage on G0 stepping , the overclocking potential was improved. The preparation of new record was simple: motherboard on chipset NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI, processor core 2 Extreme QX6850 , a video card GeForce 8800 Ultra and Liquid nitrogen. The processor was cooled by liquid nitrogen, and the video chip were cooled with the aid of dry ice. So , this results can be improved after passage to liquid nitrogen. New record in 3DMark'06 can be seen here, it composes 25 733 points. The processor was overclocked to the frequency 5082 MHz, the two video card geForce 8800 Ultra worked in SLI mode at frequencies 918/2448 MHz. Focus attention, That this processor operated at 462 MHz system bus frequency . The author of this record plan in further video card overclock in order to improve this result. Looking to the test platform configuration  , it becomes clear, why NVIDIA does not desire to open access to the official SLI support  by intel chipsets  .   Related Products :
