The owners of celeron 4xx processors box assembly ( on core Conroe- L ) already know that these processors are supplied with aluminum cooler witch has the reduced height. In principle, Such cooler is completely suffisant , but it is not suitable for serious overclock.
Intel company notified its partners and clients that from 10 September, 2007, they must be ready to obtain the box processors celeron 420 (1.6 GHz), Celeron 430 (1.8 GHz) and Celeron 440 (2.0 GHz), equipped with new cooler construction .
Intel asserts that the performance of the updated cooler will not affect the installations procedure . All box intel processors are supplied with three year guarantee from the producer, as earlier.
The second update, about which Intel yesterday notified its partners and clients, concerns the design of heat-distributor cover for the four core processors core 2 Quad and Xeon 53xx. Now in the left lower cover angle will be provided a deepening with diameter 1 mm and with depth from 10 to 100 m. This deepening is used for technological purposes, and it will not be reflected in the processors properties . Updated Products (cover and cooler ) will begin to reach users in 7 September 2007.
