The graphics core  Imagination Technologies was extremely interesting for Intel company .  From the beginning it was registered as part of the chipset, and then appeared in the company's processors.  In parallel, Intel is developing its own integrated graphics, which, however, is not yet ready to register as part of SoC for smartphones.  In models Atom generation Merrifield and Moorefield company will continue to use Imagination (PowerVR G6400), and then, who knows, maybe, Intel will be able to develop an analogue .   In 2009, recall , Intel increased its stake in Imagination Technologies to 9.3% in order to block the possibility of Apple's influence on the management of the company.  Intel has become the largest shareholder of Imagination.  Apple's share in this case was equal to 8.6%.  Later this week, Intel suddenly sold part of its stake in Imagination, reducing the equity securities of up to 5%.  Securities market immediately reacted to the depreciation of Imagination Technologies shares of  more than 6%.  This does not mean that things are bad at Imagination, but the company is clearly dependent on the smartphone market.  This leads to a regrouping of forces and means on the market usually responds to pessimistic investors.
