We already reported about the overclock of 45 nm four core processors yorkfield at the frequency 5.6 GHz, Many where assured that such processor should reach 6.0 GHz. Now yorkfield processors passed on new stepping. In the second place, Intel decided to release the processor core 2 Extreme QX9770 (3.2 GHz), after raising yorkfield default frequencies by 200 MHz - TDP was also increased to 136 W. Associate reported about the overclock of processor core 2 Extreme QX9650 (3.0 GHz) to 6.0 GHz with the aid of liquid nitrogen. The screen shot shows the processor frequency lower by two times ; however, actually it works with the multiplier 12x with system bus frequency 500 MHz.  The motherboard foxconn MARS on base of chipset intel p35 was subjected to modifications at the power system level .
