A week ago, Finnish overclocker Sampsa already tested the system on base of three video GeForce 8800 Ultra during overclock , and looked forward to a new record in 3DMark'03. Of course, the overclock of such complex system is  difficult. Over the past week Sampsa was able to install a waterblock on the video cards , and it was able to overclock up to 720/1760/2360 MHz. The system  used was based on the motherboard  ( chipset nForce 680i SLI ) and the overclocked 65 nm processor Core 2 Extreme QX6850 (3.0 GHz), working at 4706 MHz . The result in 3DMark'03 was 103888 points . Note that this time the motherboard is based on chipset nForce 780i SLI with the  processor Core 2 Extreme QX9700 with 1600 MHz system bus working at 5.0 GHz frequency  . Three video card 3-Way SLI were overclocked to 734/1813/2350 MHz, which results on 108720 points in 3DMark'03 . This is a new record, but it is far from the last.   Related Products :
