It is known that compact hard disks 1 and 1.8 inch are adapted in multimedia devices ; however, the prices of solid-state memory are reduced, and the volumes of flash- disk increase. Hitachi company  decided to roll up the production of hard disks  1 and 1.8 inch, since the demand in this segment is moved  to the side of flash- disk. Hitachi already ended the production of 1 inch disks , and the deliveries of 1.8 disks will be stopped in the summer . Hitachi is assembled to be concentrated on the production of hard disks 2.5 and 3.5 inch. This Company expects increase in the demand for such disk in connection with increase in the popularity of everyday electronics . Due to the withdrawal of Hitachi and Fujitsu from HDD segment (1 and 1.8 inch) , Toshiba will increase its portion, which is now equal to 70%. Related Products :
