After the release of Radeon HD 3870 x2 it became known that CrossFire X technology support will be realized during March with the release of the corresponding Catalyst drivers version . It was assumed that the technology will allow to unite in one system not only two video card Radeon HD 3870 x2, but also one Radeon HD 3870 x2 and one Radeon HD 3870. Thus, the quantity of video chip in one system will be increased to three or four pieces. CrossFire X support will appear with Catalyst 8.3 drivers , which will be released in the middle of March. AMD will show this technology in exhibition CeBIT 2008, which will pass from 4th to 9 March. New drivers will allow to unite in one system even three single video card Radeon HD 3850 or Radeon HD 3870. Thus, CrossFire technology can find the desired configuration flexibility . | ||
