AMD company has all bonus to reach the top position in 3dmark benchmark : The technology crossFire scales rather well speed in 3DMark'06 , and this allowed the Radeon HD 2900 XT to hold the new records .
During March AMD will prepare the announcement of crossFire X technology, which allow to unite in one system from three to four graphic chips.

Using crossFireX technology many overclockers (from xtremeSystems and awardFabrik) start experiments .This result was obtained by German overclocker with the modest pseudonym (No_Name) :-) .

As motherboard we have here the asus P5E3WS, for cooling the processor core 2 Extreme QX9650 (3.0 GHz) and two video card radeon HD 3870 X2 liquid nitrogen was used.

Nice setup :

After volt-mod the video cards were overclocked under liquid nitrogen to 1054/2300 MHz, processor was overclocked to 5640 MHz. In test 3DMark'06 it was possible to collect 31 782 marks.

In 3DMark'03 this system collects 130 000 points. With processor overclock to 5719 MHz the result was improved to 131 826 points .
