VIA company connects large hopes with its energy-effective 64- bit super-scalar processors architecture isaiah.
In any case such processor can't reach the performance level of intel and AMD processor, but here Intel atom can compose serious competition.  The declared isaiah maximum energy consumption compose no more than 3,5 W while atom consumes only 0,6-2,5 W. Super-scalar Isaiah can executes three x86- compatible instructions in one time, so it will be faster than Atom. Now VIA report , that such processors has been already supplied to company partners for test. The release of this products is expected in May-June . Such processors will be used in compact and accessible portable devices.
