In spite of severe price wars and losses, AMD company  does not lose optimism, and  expects to leave the period of unprofitability. The bright start of radeon HD 48xx suggests hope for an increase in AMD market share in the graphical segment . Freshest data relate to the first quarter 2008. Intel increased its market share in comparison with the fourth quarter 2007 - from 78,5% to 79,7%. But if we compare the market shares For intel in first quarter 2007 and 2008, then dynamics will be negative - giant processor  yielded to competitors 0,7%. AMD company  in this year was able to improve the indices of gain in the processor segment  from 10,9% to 13,0%. I.e., increase in the long-term interval composed 2,1%. Good, if we considers that AMD was forced  to regularly reduce prices under the pressure of Intel. Consequently, AMD continues to improve it's position in aprite of short term failures.
