The unpleasant news for NVIDIA products owners became the company communication about the need for spending from $150 mln to $200 mln to guarantee the repair and replacement of some mobile chips, which contain defects. Furthermore NVIDIA could not exclude the possibilities of some defects manifestation in other video chips and chipsets . Associate stated that defects was manifested in all video chip G84 and G86. Such statements was very unpleasant for NVIDIA; therefore NVIDIA company stated that only a small part of mobile video chip has such problem. All produced at present chips are deprived from these defects. These problems do not touch at all desktop products, as NVIDIA consider. | ||
