The processors VIA nano (Isaiah) become one of the few real competitors to intel atom processors , since AMD company answer to Atom will not appear soon due to some economic reasons. Differences between nano and Atom are strengthened by many factors.
First, those processors use different architecture : the first uses extra commands execution , the second prefers successive commands (for energy savings) . In the second place, nano processors will be released on 65 nm technology, while Intel Atom is produced on 45 nm technology . Thirdly, VIA give its partners much more freedom for the platforms on base Of nano, while Intel supporters are limited by very thin requirements. Finally, atom processors support two virtual threads , and nano processors process only one thread. . Associate tested the processor VIA nano l2100 with 1.8 GHz frequency and Intel atom 230 with 1.6 GHz frequency . The first uses 800 MHz bus, the second is satisfied by 533 MHz .

The Processor VIA has 64 + 64 KB cache in the first level and 1mb cache in the second level. In this case Atom characteristics are modest: 24 + 32 KB cache in first level and 512 KB cache in the second level. The first tests prove, that VIA processor exceeds its competitor by15-20% in the speed plan . Certainly, via processor works at higher frequency, but the difference in frequencies is equal to only 12,5%. In this case Nano consumes more electric power. With the passage on 45 nm technical process in 2009 nano processors for sure can improve their energy indices.
