According to corsair memory company on the past week a new world record for the DDR3 overclock was set. However, producer asserts that the experiment was made in its own laboratory. The DDR3-1333 memory module with latency 9-9-9-24 was overclocked in the motherbiard asus rampage xtreme (Intel x48) to the frequency 2580 MHz DDR. This 118 MHz higher than the previous corsair record , released at the end of May . According to Corsair, this increase was possible due to the cooling of entire test platform down to the temperature minus 20 degrees Celsius. | ||
