Associate obtained in its hands all components, necessary for creating a system on  base of intel  bloomfield (Nehalem) processor  , whose release is expected in the fourth quarter. The first two photographs give idea about Bloomfield in  comparison with Core 2 Quad 6700 and the Motherboard intel D58XSO  smackover. The processor used has the default frequency 2,93 GHz. As it is evident from the photographs, it is greater than Core 2 Quad, and has the new processor socket LGA1366. This means that the cooler , calculated for LGA775, will be incompatible with the new processors, with exception of some models. Smackover and  LGA 775 motherboard Differs not only in size, but also in the orientation . Bloomfield processor  has a built-in  DDR3 controller, which supports three memory channels  . Motherboards producers can place four slots DIMM. Two of them relate to two separate channels, and the third and fourth - to the third . For the optimum performance the memory should be placed in three slots. In order to increase the memory capacity , it is possible to use the fourth module.  For example, if we place 2- GB modules in slots 1 and 2, and on 1- GB modules in 3 and 4 slots, then all three channels can work at the maximum speed. The second version for motherboards producers can become the installation of six slots memory modules   -  two on each channel. Related Products :
