The first CPU for the budge market ( compact laptop computers ) from AMD will become the Athlon 64 2000+, which works at 1 GHz frequency with 0.9v. In this case the energy consumption is 8 W, which is twice higher than Intel Atom, and in this case the frequency is 60% lower. This solution is built on base of 65- nm lima core G0 stepping and counts 122 million transistors in comparison with 47 mln in the 45- nm atom. K8 Architecture shows noticeable superiority over Atom 230 (1,6 GHz) in the majority of tests. In  multimedia tests the re-encoding rate of sound files iTunes and Lame was on the advantage Of athlon 64 2000+ by 38%, in Cinema4D this advantage was reduced to 10%. The only tests were AMD was inferior are antivirus and WinRAR (up to 4%). However, in typical for notebook tasks : web-surfing , the athlon 64 2000+ was about 50% faster. The progressive chipset 780G for AMD system proved to be more economical under load. However, the temperature conditions Of athlon 64 2000+ proved to be completely better, than in Atom. Thus, Athlon 64 2000+ gained a convincing victory above intel Atom. To deficiencies in AMD product can become its price.
