According to last information, the passage of GT 200 to 55 nm will be released in the fourth quarter of the present year. The most obvious changes from the passage on 55 nm technology are : reduction in the core area and decrease in the energy consumption level . Last benefit, however, can be spent to increase the clock frequencies, which is also urgent in order to compelte with HD 4870 X2.
Associates after a brief data analysis from the official NVIDIA presentation slide , proposed their forecast according to the frequency characteristics of 55 nm GT200 successor .

In particular, instead of 933 gigaflops , NVIDIA indicated a higher value - 1080 gigaflops. In this case the textures filling speed remained as before . Associates on this base note that 55 nm gT200b chip will obtain the higher shader frequency , while other video card frequencies will remain as before. Thus, instead of present 602/1296/2214 MHz , NVIDIA will use the frequencies 602/1512/2214 MHz. Shader domain will work @ 2,5 times faster than the remaining video card blocks .
