OCZ technology company released a new SSD with the buffer volume 32 Mb or 64 Mb : OCZ SSD vertex.
The producer promise the readings speed of up to 200 Mb/s and records up to 160 Mb/s : measurements were produced in a system on base of NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI chipset. The mass of OCZ vertex does not exceed 77 deg. The energy consumption level in operating conditions is 2 W, in the standby mode it is only 0.5 W. This device can work at a temperature from minus 10 to plus 70 degree Celsius, maintain load up to 1500G.  OCZ vertex is released in two models with 30 and 60 GB volume and with the buffer volume 32 Mb , and also two models with volume 120 and 250 GB with buffer volume 64 Mb. The recommended cost of the first two models is equal to $129 and $249, the last two - $469 and $869 respectively. Those SSD are equipped with serial ATA-300 interface ( 2.5 inches form factor ).
