We already reported about new NVIDIA products : GeForce GTX285 and GTX 295. According to preliminary information, new 3d- card will allow to strengthen NVIDIA positions.
Today appeared some data about the new GPU RV775, prepared by AMD. The number of stream processor will be equal to 840, and textural (TMU) : 48. The number of stream processors (Stream processing unit) will compose 168. From Each 14 stream processor form SIMD structure, it is possible to calculate that the GPU will count 12 SIMD on 70 shader blocks each.
Supposedly, the quantity of blocks can be increased due to improvement in the microcircuits production technology . Improvement in this technology allows to obtain the sufficiency of microcircuits with a large quantity of operational SIMD.

Besides increase in the number of stream processors, the developers raised the frequencies. The frequency of RV775XT core is increased from 750 MHz (Radeon HD 4870) to 900 MHz, while the frequency of GDDR5 memory up to 1000 MHz (x4). The rV775Pro core clock frequency will be 725 MHz, 1400 MHz (x2) for the memories. In the case Of rV775Pro GDDR4 memory will be used .
The Task of RV775XT is to resist the GeForce GTX 285. According to preliminary information, AMD 3d card will have 512 MB GDDR5 memory , but nothing interferes with increasing the volume to 1 GB.
The commercial name of RV775XT, will become probably : Radeon HD 5870. The deliveries of radeon HD 5870 will begin at the end of January, immediately after the release of the new series GeForce GTX 200.
The rV775Pro model will appear during March 2009, and RV870 GPU, produced according to the 40 NM standards, will appear in autumn next year.
