NVIDIA Initiative for the creation of ion platform for notebooks and nettop was refused by Intel. The latter stated that it is not going to collaborate with NVIDIA in this sphere . Taiwan producer also reported that Intel insists on the purchase of atom processors only in the complete set with integrated chipset 945GSE and 945GC from Intel production .
Similar statements yesterday were partially disproved by Intel representatives . As explained Intel representatives , they do not prevent NVIDIA from the release of budget solutions . Atom processors are sold both in the complete set with Intel chipset and separately . Moreover, NVIDIA does not need any license to produce and sale chipset with atom processors support . Actually, NVIDIA already possesses licenses to the right of chipset production with Intel processors support , and this is sufficient. However, this does not speak about Intel intentions to collaborate with NVIDIA in ion platforms . The high performance of integrated chipset NVIDIA is coupled with higher energy consumption; therefore, ion platform will be used only by nettop producer. | ||
