Intel company  recommended to its partners to not create notebook with the screen diagonal more than 10.2 inches. In this case large screen consumes more electric power, and notebook are usually equipped with batteries optimized under their mass and overall sizes . Unfortunately, not all buyers are ready to work with tiny screens and small keyboards . This circumstance already pushed slightly samsung company  to propose the notebook NC20 with 12.1 inches screen (in this case based on Via processor). HP company currently attempts to obtain the official Intel permission  for the creation of notebook on base of atom processors , which possess the screens standard sizes 11.6  even 13.3 inches. According to HP concept , the first model will be released in the second quarter 2009 - during June 2009. This company expects to reach some result in the negotiations with Intel to the end of January. HP enters in the number of the most important computers producers  , and therefore it can have some impact on Intel decision. Related Products :
