During November last year we published the USB 3.0 specifications, which allow to transmit data with speed up to 600 MB per second. It is expected that the first discrete controllers with USB 3.0 support will appear in the second half-year, and devices with the new interface support will begin to be extended in 2010.
On CES 2009 exhibition will be demonstrated the working models of external drive with USB 3.0 interface. It is assumed that the external drive, utilized for the demonstration of USB 3.0 interface possibilities , will be based on a hard disk. This New USB version will increase the data transmission speed by ten times in comparison with the existing devices. | ||
