The release of video cards series radeon HD 48xx was very successful : some NVIDIA partners decided for the first time to release AMD graphic solution. Intel company reported its plans with respect to the transfer of 45 nm processors in E0 stepping. The models core 2 Duo e8500 (3.16 GHz) and Core 2 Duo  e8400 (3.0 GHz) will migrate to new stepping on 27 June. Now Intel introduced some correction in its plans, and the deliveries of series processors stepping E0 was changed ( to July 18, 2008 ). Note the processor markings will be updated: Core 2 Duo e8400 (3.0 GHz): SLAPL (C0) - > SLB9J (E0); Core 2 Duo e8500 (3.16 GHz): SLAPK (C0) - > SLB9K (E0); Xeon e3110 (3.0 GHz): SLAPM (C0) - > SLB9C (E0). New processors will require a bios update. We hope that the new stepping will increase the processors overclocking potential .
