The Japanese company elpida memory reported about the first DDR3 SDRAM with 1Gbit density and 2,5 Gbit/s. capacity  Elpida chip use copper connections and other update, which not only allow to substantially raise the speed, but also to lower the supply voltage to 1,2 v. It is remarkable, that the new memory can work with the standardized DDR3 specification ( 1,5 v voltage ). and also with  1,35 v. Note with  1,5 v the capacity is 2,5 Gbit/s, with 1,2 v it is equal to 1,8 Gbit/s, which substantially exceeds the standard value 1,6 Gbit/s with 1,5 v voltage .
