NVIDIA representatives recently reported that they underestimated the potential of new AMD video cards ( radeon HD 48xx ), but they attempted to correct situation with regular price reduction . In this case for some NVIDIA partners it was necessary to compensate the difference between the old and new price to the first video card buyers on base of GT200 chip . Associate reports that in the middle of September NVIDIA company will present the new version geForce GTX 260, which will obtain 216 stream processors instead of the present 192 pieces. Frequencies will remain as before - 576/1242/1998 MHz as the memory capacity ( GDDR-3 ) with 448- bit bus. There is no changes also in the design of cooling system. For the production of geForce GTX 260 will be used the reserves of 65 nm version GT200 chip . | ||
