Recently plextor company released new external drive blu-ray, which was capable to write optical disks of similar size with speed up to 12x. The well-known producer of optical drives, Lite-On, presented its external drive with USB 3.0 port.
Lite-On eHBU212 can write disks BD- R with the speed 12x, two-layered optical disk can be recorded at the speed up to 8x. the most interesting, that the new creation Of lite-On reads disks even slower than it writes, since the peak reading speeds vary from 6x to 8x, depending on the type of disk. The recording speeds and DVD reading reach 16z, and CD - 48x.  The weight of device is 1,2 kg.
