NVIDIA integrated chipset for Intel platforms , which relate to MCP73 series had the limited speed due to the presence of only one memory channel . The chipset MCP7A series is called to remove this deficiency , at the same time this chipset will propose DirectX 10 support. The chipset MCP7A-U and MCP7A-S will be presented during April this year. They will propose the support of Intel processors with 1333 MHz system bus, the two-channel memory controller with Ddr2-800 support, graphic core with DirectX 10 support, and they will also assure compatibility with Hybrid SLI technology . The wholesale cost of motherboard on base of MCP7A-U in will be equal to $80, for motherboard on base of MCP7A-S it will be equal to $70-75. As basic competitor to NVIDIA MCP7A we can considers the Intel G45 chipset, witch will appear in the second quarter. However, during August NVIDIA will release single -channel memory motherboard with MCP7C chipset , which will support only one channel Ddr2-800. the cost of motherboards at its base will begin from $60-65. NVIDIA also prepares the discrete chipset Mcp7a- H , it will also have the single-channel memory controller . | ||
