A month ago we reported about a new data storage device from laCie company : 4big quadra. This external case allow to install up to 6 TB disc space.  Now laCie company released a new model with the more capacious volume. The new model was called 5big network and it was equipped with five disks ( interface serial ATA ) and hot swap possibility . Accordingly, the maximum capacity grew , in comparison with the previous model, now it is equal to 7,5 TB. This device can work with HDD in those RAID regimes : RAID 5, RAID 5+Spare, RAID 6, RAID 10 and RAID 0. LaCie 5big network works with OS Windows, Mac and Linux. Its 2,5-TB version costs 899 dollars ; the 5 TB version cost 1399 dollars ; and 7,5 TB ( top- version ) costs 1899 dollars. Related Products : | ||
