Fujitsu company presented two new high performance HDD's : MBD2 RC and MBE2 RC. The rotation frequency in this case is 10 and 15 thousand rp/min . Those devices are equipped with serial attached SCSI (SAS) interface with 6 Gbit/s capacity.
Those HDD use the technology perpendicular recording, which double the maximum volume in comparison with previous generation models. Simultaneously Fujitsu substantially decreased the energy consumption. According to Fujitsu data , the new products "corporate class" has the best energy consumption value in this class.  In the idle regime MBD2 RC HDD consume 3,4 W, and MBE2 RC 4,1 W, which up to 28% less than previous generation, and 74% less than in contemporary 3,5- inches HDD (15 rp/min ). Maximum MBD2 RC volume is equal to 300 GB, MBE2 RC : 147 GB. Related Products : | ||
