Intel prepares a new chipset B43. The official release Of Intel b43 is planned for the first quarter next year, but the deliveries Of b43 to motherboard producers will start in 7 December. Thus, the first b43 motherboard can appear already during January. The price Of b43 will be $37 ( 1000 pieces party). For comparison: the Q43 chips during November cost $40 . This price difference is explained by the reduced possibilities. It preserved support to the FSB frequency up to 1333 MHz and DDR 2-800 and DDR 3-1066 memories. However, in contrast to Q43, which supports four DIMM modules, the possibilities Of b43 are limited to two modules. In other words, B43 chipset support not more than 8 GB DDR2 or 4 GB DDR3 memory. Furthermore, B43 chipset will not support the built-in module TPM 1.2 and Intel SIPP. The special feature of integrated graphic systems in b43 will become the presence of displayPort, DVI and VGA interfaces. Related Products :
