Recently, the popularity of solid-state disc greatly collects revolutions. Therefore, company- producers are not intended to remain beside this profitable and promising market. And here, within CES 2009,  OCZ company enlarged its SSD- proposal with three series: Solid, Apex and Vertex II. Let us pause at each series in more detail. The solid series is located in the lower price segment and ensure the reading speed 200 Mb/s, and writing speed - 160 Mb/s. OCZ apex series is based on the average price segment : Their characteristics are: reading speed 230 Mb/s, and writing speed - 160 Mb/s. Apex has almost the same performance level as the first revision vertex, the absence of cache-buffer, which possess vertex devices  ,  will affect the performance. Both devices are created on base of  MLC NAND flash- chips , they have the volume 30, 60, 120 and 250 GB. Now a pair of words about the high end series vertex. This series was already released during December last year, and it possessed a completely standard characteristic: the reading speed at the level of 200 Mb/s, while the writing speed - 160 Mb/s. However, OCZ engineers improved this SSD version and released a new generation  series vertex 2. The representatives of this series possess a truly remarkable characteristic, ensuring the reading speed at the level of 550 Mb/s, and writing speed - 160 Mb/s, depending on the files size : For example,  20 GB file size can be copied only in 41.66 seconds.   Related Products :
