First let us recall about the repeated AMD statements about the economical four core Phenom processor, which will be released in the current block. In the list of new processors there are two models with close characteristics:
- Phenom 9100e (1.8 GHz, TDP=65 W);
- Phenom 9150e (1.8 GHz, TDP=65 W).
Phenom processor 9150e will be released in the beginning of the second quarter, it will be based on B3 stepping , and it will replace the model Phenom 9100e (1.8 GHz) stepping B2, whose announcement is planned in the first quarter. Let us recall that Phenom processors 9xxx with passage to B3 stepping will obtain the additional index, ( equal to 50 ).
In the second quarter AMD will also rebrand the economical dual core processors Athlon X2 with TDP level not more than 45 W , they will be released in the following models:
- Athlon 4850e - > 2.5 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache, TDP=45 W;
- Athlon 4450e - > 2.3 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache, TDP=45 W;
- Athlon 4050e - > 2.1 GHz, 2 X 512 KB cache, TDP=45 W.
These are processors with K8 architecture . last two models will replace the existing now Athlon X2 Be -2400 and Athlon X2 Be -2350.
In this block will appear the processor Athlon Le-1640 with 2.7 GHz frequency and 512 KB cache in the second level, which will be released on 65 nm technology.
In the second quarter will be released one additional 65 nm processor in this series - it will operate at 2.8 GHz frequency , and it will obtain the designation Athlon Le-1660. The cache volume in the second level will be equal to 512 KB. In the second quarter AMD will remove the following processors models : Athlon X2 Be -2400, Athlon X2 Be -2350, Athlon X2 Be -2300, Athlon Le-1620, Athlon 64 4000+ and Athlon 64 3800+.
