IN the middle of the following year , AMD is assembled to release the integrated chipset RS880, which will become the AMD 780G successor . Basic improvements, besides reduction in the energy consumption, will become certain new functions for the work with video.
Assocaite reported about slides from AMD roadmap, which describe the release graph of new catalyst drivers . The new multimedia possibilities, which are associated with RS880 chipset , correspond to the drivers version 8.6, which will appear during April 2009.  The technology overDrive will be updated to the version 2.2 already during October, and during February 2009 AMD will release drivers with overDrive 2.3 support.
